Softball Recap: Lacassine Cardinals vs. Kinder Yellowjackets        
        
		
            
 Lacassine lost against Kinder back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Lacassine Cardinals fell  6-3 to the Kinder Yellowjackets. Lacassine has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Taylor Talbott spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.
 At the plate, Lacassine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Hanna Fontenot, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Lacassine's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 18-6. As for Kinder, the  win was  the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lacassine will  challenge Westlake at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Lacassine is facing Westlake at the right time seeing as Westlake is stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak. As for Kinder, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Pineville at 5:00  p.m.
