Softball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Allegany-Limestone Gators, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 two weeks ago.

Southwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Allegany-Limestone, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Southwestern is set to take on their familiar foe Jamestown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Allegany-Limestone will face off against rival Fredonia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
