Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frazier Mountain). They blew past Orcutt Academy 52-20 last Friday. The Falcons pushed the score to 44-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.
Immanuel Christian better keep an eye on Brazen Deavers. He was instrumental in Frazier Mountain's win, rushing for 175 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Deavers showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards.
Frazier Mountain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. They are 4-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Frazier Mountain's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Charlie Martinez refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself. Frazier Mountain received some extra help from Maurice Tondreau, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Immanuel Christian's record is now 10-0. As for Frazier Mountain, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Immanuel Christian has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 208.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Frazier Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 199.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Immanuel Christian against Frazier Mountain in their previous meeting back in October, as the squad secured a 50-16 victory. In that contest, the Crusaders amassed a halftime lead of 42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
