Baseball Recap: Marin Catholic Find Success

On Saturday, the Marin Catholic Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Alhambra Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

Colt Crum looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Jude Baker was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Marin Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alhambra only posted a batting average of .130.

The victory made it two in a row for Marin Catholic and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Alhambra, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Marin Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Terra Linda on the 4th. As for Alhambra, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Miramonte on the 4th.
