Softball Recap: Sycamore's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

After low-scoring totals in their previous three match, Sycamore brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. With that victory, the Aviators brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Ava Andolina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on ten hits. She also set a new season-high mark in stolen bases with three.

On the hitting side, Alex Davis was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Kaitlyn Gambaccini was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

With the win, Sycamore broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Looking ahead, Sycamore will square off against Lakota West at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they will challenge Mercy McAuley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
