West Genesee hasn't had much luck against Baldwinsville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Bees at 5:00 p.m. West Genesee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

On Monday, West Genesee needed a bit of extra time to put away Central Square. They skirted past the Redhawks 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Redhawks: they've now won four in a row.

Alivia Dunn looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alanna Bowman, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Emma Dickerson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Baldwinsville didn't have quite enough to beat Central Catholic last Monday and fell 4-3.

Baldwinsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Genesee, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

West Genesee suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Baldwinsville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
