Basketball Recap: Parkhill Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Parkhill Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 69-50 bruising from the Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory Knights. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Parkhill Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Jalin Gallegos, who posted 33 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Domenic Ruybalid-Torres, who put up nine points.

Carter Grady went supernova For Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory., going 10-for-22 en route to 23 points along with six steals and five boards. Grady's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Hank Grady was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Parkhill Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 61-28 defeat against Ambleside on the 5th. Hopefully Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory paid attention to the Chargers' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on January 16, 2026.
