Basketball Game Preview: Lexington Senior Yellowjackets vs. North Rowan Cavaliers + How To Watch

Lexington Senior is 2-8 against North Rowan since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. North Rowan took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lexington Senior, who comes in off a win.

Lexington Senior is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Quality Education Academy. The Yellowjackets blew past the Fighting Pharaohs 51-26 on Friday.

Lexington Senior can attribute much of their success to Jordyn Dearmon, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 12 points along with six boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Cowan, who posted 15 points.

Meanwhile, North Rowan played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Statesville, falling 54-28. The Cavaliers were down 45-16 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Everything came up roses for Lexington Senior against North Rowan when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured a 74-42 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cavaliers' Dasia Elder, who earned 18 points and six rebounds.
