Softball Recap: Cameron Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Merrill, Cameron was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Black River Falls Tigers.

Riley Holdeman was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Viltz, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-4.

Cameron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Cameron now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Black River Falls, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Cameron will welcome Cadott at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Black River Falls, they will venture away from home to take on Stanley-Boyd at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
