Basketball Game Preview: Cambria Heights Highlanders vs. Marion Center Stingers

The Cambria Heights Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Marion Center Stingers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cambria Heights lost 58-33 to West Shamokin on Friday. The Highlanders have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Marion Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 73-54 fall against Conemaugh Township. While losing is never fun, the Stingers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while the Indians are ranked 143rd).

Cambria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Marion Center, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Cambria Heights and Marion Center were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but Cambria Heights came up empty-handed after a 42-41 defeat. Can Cambria Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
