Basketball Recap: Woodlawn Takes a Loss

Woodlawn lost against Milford Mill Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Woodlawn Warriors were beaten by the Milford Mill Academy Millers 74-18. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Millers are ranked 93rd).

Woodlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Milford Mill Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2-1.

Coming up, Woodlawn will square off against Forest Park at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Forest Park's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Woodlawn's offense will have their work cut out for them. Milford Mill Academy has already played their next match (against Wise), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
