Volleyball Game Preview: Chillicothe Cavaliers vs. Waverly Tigers

The Chillicothe Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Waverly Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, Chillicothe got the win against Jackson by a conclusive 3-0. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Ironman/Ironladies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Chillicothe not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Jackson between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Waverly made easy work of Minford on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.

Chillicothe's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Waverly, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Chillicothe skirted past Waverly 2-1 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
