North Salinas came into Saturday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Scotts Valley Falcons on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in February.

North Salinas never let Scotts Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16.

North Salinas' win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Scotts Valley, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

North Salinas has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Watsonville on the 12th. As for Scotts Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Monta Vista on the 12th.
