Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian Academy's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

Victory Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Pacific Ridge Firebirds. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Loss or not, Victory Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Brad Chier and Esteban Torres. Chier had six kills, four digs, and one block, while Torres had 12 assists and five digs. Chier is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had six or more in each of the last 20 games he's played dating back to last season.

Victory Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mt. Carmel on the 28th. As for Pacific Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lincoln on the 28th.
