Soccer Game Preview: Hastings vs. Marshall

The Hastings Saxons will face off against the Marshall Redhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hastings has given up an average of 5.4 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hastings is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Monday. They came up short against Sturgis, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, Hastings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Sturgis are ranked 151st).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Marshall was forced to settle for a draw. They and Vicksburg finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Monday.

Hastings' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. Marshall's draw gives them a new season record of 10-4-1.
