Western Albemarle has gone a perfect 10-0 against Monticello recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Western Albemarle is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Last Thursday, Western Albemarle earned a 4-2 win over Fluvanna County.

The Warriors hit the Flying Flucos with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Parker Polk (2), Daniel Sanchez, and Jack Brockmeier.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Monticello was not quite Albemarle's equal in the second half on Monday. They lost 4-1 to the Patriots.

Western Albemarle's victory bumped their record up to 9-1-2. As for Monticello, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2.

Western Albemarle skirted past Monticello 1-0 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
