Softball Preview: St. John's Mavericks vs. Episcopal Knights

St. John is 0-6 against Episcopal since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The St. John's Mavericks will head out on the road to face off against the Episcopal Knights at 4:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, St. John's fell victim to a tough 14-6 defeat at the hands of HCYA.

Avery Peakes and Adley Halligan did some serious damage despite the final result: Peakes scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Halligan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Sherrill, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Episcopal can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. Everything went their way against Cypress Christian as Episcopal made off with a 16-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Episcopal.

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Episcopal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
