Basketball Recap: University Prep Value Takes a Loss

If University Prep Value was feeling good fresh off their 76-7 takedown of Neuwirth Leadership Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The University Prep Value Wolves were beaten by the Animo Robinson Monarchs 84-43 on Thursday. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

Roger Shackelford was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 34 points and nine assists for Animo Robinson. The dominant performance gave Shackelford a new career-high in points. Deandre Kirkpatrick was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards.

University Prep Value's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Animo Robinson, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

University Prep Value will welcome Gertz-Ressler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Animo Robinson, they will challenge Crossroads at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
