Basketball Recap: Millard Comes Up Short

If Millard was riding high fresh off their 61-32 takedown of Water Canyon last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Millard Eagles fell just short of the Enterprise Wolves by a score of 45-43 on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Millard saw an underclassman step up: freshman Blakelie Davies went 8 for 17 en route to 25 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Davies is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Kyra Moat, who posted seven points and nine rebounds.

Enterprise got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eliza Balajadia out in front who went 7 of 17 to rack up 16 points. That's the most points Balajadia has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Barlow, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 18 boards.

Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Enterprise, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Millard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-41 loss against Kanab on the 6th. As for Enterprise, they have also already played their next game, a 51-25 defeat against Beaver on the 6th.
