Soccer Recap: Scottsbluff Takes a Loss

Scottsbluff's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 5-2 to Elkhorn North. While losing is never fun, Scottsbluff can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Elkhorn North are ranked ninth).

Gabe Hernandez Limon wasn't going to let Elkhorn North walk away unscathed as he scored both of Scottsbluff's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Scottsbluff is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5-1. As for Elkhorn North, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scottsbluff will welcome Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhorn North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gretna East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gretna East's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Elkhorn North's offense will have their work cut out for them.
