Volleyball Recap: Bexley Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Scarlett Larimer and Tessa Lacki

Bexley was the 3-2 winner over Bishop Ready when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 3-1 to the Silver Knights on Tuesday. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Silver Knights since Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-21, 25-19.

Bexley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tessa Lacki, who had ten digs, and Scarlett Larimer, who had ten digs and one assist.

Sophia Dozer went supernova For Bishop Ready., getting 24 digs and four assists. Dozer has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played. Olyvia Piper also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Bexley's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Bishop Ready, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coincidentally, Bexley and Bishop Ready will both be playing Franklin Heights the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Silver Knights will host them at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
