Basketball Recap: Stockton's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Stockton suffered their biggest defeat since November 21, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Pecatonica Indians, falling 48-23. The loss continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Stockton still got an impressive performance from Madie Mammoser, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. Mammoser is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played.

Stockton's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Pecatonica, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

Stockton and Pecatonica should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Stockton will take on West Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 405 places (190 vs. 595). Stockton will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Pecatonica (ranked 54th) will meet Forreston (ranked 609th) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
