Baseball Recap: North Medford Takes a Loss

North Medford couldn't beat Caldera on Thursday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the fifth inning. The Black Tornado fell just short of Caldera by a score of 11-10. The Black Tornado just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Dominic Daffron put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Easton Curtis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Tyler Horsley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

North Medford's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Caldera, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

As of now, neither North Medford nor Caldera have any future games scheduled.
