Basketball Game Preview: East Jordan Red Devils vs. Boyne City Ramblers

The East Jordan Red Devils and the Boyne City Ramblers will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Jordan has four straight wins, Boyne City has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, everything went East Jordan's way against Mancelona as East Jordan made off with a 54-30 victory. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

June Kirkpatrick and Liliana Snyder were among the main playmakers for East Jordan as the former posted 24 points and the latter had 18 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kirkpatrick has scored at least a third of East Jordan's points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Guerriero, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, Boyne City lost to Gaylord on the road by a 60-41 margin on Tuesday.

East Jordan pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Boyne City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

East Jordan came out on top in a nail-biter against Boyne City in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 49-46. Will East Jordan repeat their success, or does Boyne City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
