Baseball Recap: Unicoi County Takes a Loss

Unicoi County was the 5-2 winner over Elizabethton when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 9-4 to the Fighting Cyclones on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Unicoi County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Bogart, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Unicoi County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Elizabethton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

While Unicoi County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
