Basketball Recap: Scott's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Conner, Scott was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Bishop Brossart Mustangs by a score of 56-45. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scott to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Saylor, who went 5 for 12 en route to 17 points. Those 17 points gave Saylor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaymon Coleman, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Scott smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Scott's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-12. As for Bishop Brossart, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Scott will square off against Ryle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season. Bishop Brossart has already played their next matchup, a 52-43 defeat against Harrison County on the 1st.
