Centennial faced Organ Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Hawks never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on six straight.

Gilberto Torres was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Jonah Martinez looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Alons, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Grajeda, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Centennial's record is now 16-5. As for Organ Mountain, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6-1.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
