Basketball Game Preview: Manton Rangers vs. St. Francis Gladiators

The Manton Rangers will be taking part in a tournament against the St. Francis Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Manton's favor as the squad sits on 13 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while St. Francis has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

Manton will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Lake City, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Manton simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Lake City 64-18. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Francis didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Benzie Central on Monday, but they still walked away with a 34-30 win.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Manton, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.

Everything came up roses for Manton against St. Francis when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 54-14 victory. Will Manton repeat their success, or does St. Francis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
