There's no place like home for Shorecrest Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Northside Christian Mustangs on Monday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Samantha Beltran made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Beltran was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Bobbie Strus was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Madi Bidwell was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Shorecrest Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Christian only posted an OBP of .375.

Shorecrest Prep's record now sits at 11-5. As for Northside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Shorecrest Prep has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Osceola on the 22nd. As for Northside Christian, they will square off against Largo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Packers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
