Volleyball Game Preview: St. Pius X Lancers vs. St. Joseph's Academy Angels

The St. Pius X Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the St. Joseph's Academy Angels at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Pius X is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

On Wednesday, St. Pius X got the win against St. Vincent by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Pius X was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph's Academy beat Lutheran 3-1 on Tuesday.

The win didn't come easy: Lutheran scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 27-25.

St. Pius X's record is now 15-4. As for St. Joseph's Academy, their record now sits at 17-8-1.

St. Pius X came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Joseph's Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Angels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
