Baseball Recap: Pahrump Valley Wins Going Away Against Williams

After only one run in their last matchup, Pahrump Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Williams on Saturday. The Pahrump Valley Trojans put the hurt on the Williams Vikings with a sharp 12-1 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Benny Cimperman looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Pahrump Valley let Vinny Whitney and Aidyn Cratty run wild. Whitney went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Cratty scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those three RBI gave Whitney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chris Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Pahrump Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Pahrump Valley's record now sits at 4-0-1. As for Williams, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Pahrump Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Mojave on the 4th. Williams has also already played their next matchup (against Superior), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
