Baseball Game Preview: Harrah Panthers vs. Ada Cougars

The Harrah Panthers will take on the Ada Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrah's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five contests, but Monday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Harrah turned things around against Ponca City on Friday. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since March 18th.

Harrah's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joey Mclaughlin, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. The Panthers are undefeated when Mclaughlin posts two or more stolen bases, but 9-10 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Ada put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Caddo with a sharp 13-6 victory. Fans of the Cougars have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ada's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Harrah, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.

Harrah couldn't quite get it done against Ada in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
