Volleyball Recap: Rio Linda Comes Up Short

If Rio Linda was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dixon on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights came up short against the Natomas Nighthawks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

While Rio Linda had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Rio Linda's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Natomas, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Rio Linda nor Natomas have any future games scheduled.
