Baseball Recap: Oxford Comes Up Short

Oxford came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Sedan Devils. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Connor Commerford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Sedan, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Oxford has already played their next game, an 18-1 victory against Central on the 8th. As for Sedan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-5 win against West Elk on the 8th.
