Baseball Recap: Texas City Takes a Loss

Texas City's last matchup with Santa Fe could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Stingarees came up short against the Indians, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in March.

Texas City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clyde Votaw, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Texas City has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Santa Fe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Texas City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Santa Fe has already played their next contest (against Ball), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
