Soccer Game Preview: Jackson vs. Pike County

Jackson hasn't had much luck against Pike County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jackson Red Devils will look to defend their home pitch against the Pike County Pirates at 5:30 p.m.

Jackson is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Callaway. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Pike County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Seminoles an 11-0 shutout. The Pirates' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matches.

Pike County's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Jackson suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Pike County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Jackson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
