Softball Recap: La Pine Hawks vs. Pleasant Hill Billies
La Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-5 to the Pleasant Hill Billies. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Billies this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-7 defeat back in April.
August Walker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
La Pine's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Pleasant Hill, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Pine will face off against Harrisburg at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Hill, they will venture away from home to take on Glide at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Billies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
