Softball Game Preview: Mascenic Regional Vikings vs. Franklin Tornadoes

The Mascenic Regional Vikings will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Franklin Tornadoes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mascenic Regional, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Mascenic Regional got the win against Hinsdale by a conclusive 18-6.

Fiona Alix was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Blood, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have quite enough to beat Pittsfield on Wednesday and fell 2-1. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
