Preview: Millersburg Indians vs. Susquenita Blackhawks
Millersburg is 9-1 against Susquenita since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Millersburg Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Susquenita Blackhawks at 7:15 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Millersburg is ranked 654th, while Susquenita is ranked 665th).
On Thursday, Millersburg came up short against Line Mountain and fell 46-38.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kamdyn Heintzelman, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Bellis, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Susquenita's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Halifax 71-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Susquenita has suffered against Halifax since December 14, 2019.
Millersburg bumped their record down to 6-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Susquenita, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Things could have been worse for Millersburg, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-46 loss to Susquenita in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Millersburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
