Salem Academy Charter dropped down to 4-6 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 3-0 to the Pioneer Charter School of Science II Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Pioneer Charter School of Science II, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-1. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Pioneer Charter School of Science II was led to victory by Valeria Pineda and Yurie Lee. Pineda had ten digs, while Lee had 23 assists and four aces. Lee is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Coming up, Salem Academy Charter will take on Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pioneer Charter School of Science II, they will face off against Northeast Metro RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
