Basketball Game Preview: Piedmont Community Charter Patriots vs. Mountain Island Charter Raptors + How To Watch

The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots will head out to challenge the Mountain Island Charter Raptors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Piedmont Community Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Mountain Island Charter likes a good challenge.

Piedmont Community Charter will bounce into Friday's game after beating Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Patriots walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Gryphons on Tuesday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Gryphons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Piedmont Community Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than TJ Biggers, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 21 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Biggers' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Eli Grant was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Mountain Island Charter played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 82-54 loss at the hands of Lincoln Charter. The Raptors were down 61-36 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Piedmont Community Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mountain Island Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Piedmont Community Charter came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain Island Charter when the teams last played back in January of 2017, sneaking past 61-58. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raptors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
