Volleyball Recap: Almond-Bancroft Comes Up Short

Almond-Bancroft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oshkosh North Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss on Saturday.

Mya Dernbach paced Almond-Bancroft's offense, picking up seven kills. Dernbach were helped by Lexi Carlton and Sophia Chapa, who contributed six assists each. Lacie Bradley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Almond-Bancroft's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Oshkosh North, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Spartans beat Almond-Bancroft by a score of 2-1 later that day.
