Softball Recap: Grant County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bishop Brossart on Thursday, Grant County came back down to earth. The Braves fell just short of the Ryle Raiders by a score of 9-7 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Grant County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season. As for Ryle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Grant County and Ryle will both be playing Henry Clay the next time they take the field. The Braves will host the Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
