It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bethel Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the New Life Christian Academy Warriors with a sharp 26-1 victory. Considering the Trojans have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brayden Cash was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Bethel Christian Academy is undefeated when Cash posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jason Turnage, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Levi Gates was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Bethel Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Life Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .385.

Bethel Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for New Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

As of now, neither Bethel Christian Academy nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
