Basketball Recap: Perry Starts Season with Victory Against Greene County

Perry had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 56-48 win over the Greene County Rams. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Gustavo Drahos had an outrageously good game as he almost dropped a double-double with 33 points and nine steals. Those 33 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Leslie, who posted seven points and three steals.

Greene County's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Perry will head out to square off against Ogden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greene County, they will venture away from home to challenge Grand View Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
