Basketball Recap: Northridge Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Northridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Box Elder Bees by a score of 70-61 on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but the Knights were the better team in the second half.

Despite the loss, Box Elder still got an impressive performance from Mayson Jeppsen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. Carter Buchanon was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 11 points.

Northridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-13. As for Box Elder, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Northridge will venture away from home to challenge Viewmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Viewmont likes a good challenge. As for Box Elder, they will be playing at home against Bonneville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Box Elder is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
