Football Recap: Cole Takes a Loss

Cole came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of the Bandera BULLDOGS. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Karson Scroggins threw for 126 yards on nine of 20 attempts. Noah Chambers was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards. On the ground, Michael Ibeabuchi rushed for 32 yards.

Cole's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bandera, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Cole wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-7 defeat against Randolph on the 26th. As for Bandera, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-25 win against Hondo on the 26th.
