Basketball Recap: Ethan Blackburn Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

Cabell Midland won the last time they faced Riverside and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cabell Midland Knights walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Riverside Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Cabell Midland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Blackburn out in front who posted 20 points and three steals. Blackburn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Marshall Summers was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven rebounds.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Brock, who put up 13 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bryer Mullins, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Cabell Midland's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Riverside, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cabell Midland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-41 win against Point Pleasant on the 20th. As for Riverside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-50 victory against Oak Hill on the 20th.
