Soccer Recap: Westbury Takes a Loss

Westbury was the 6-0 winner over Waltrip when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Westbury Huskies fell just short of the Waltrip Rams by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Huskies came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Rams are ranked 642nd).

Having lost for the first time this season, Westbury fell to 10-1. As for Waltrip, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westbury will face off against Madison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Waltrip, they will square off against Sharpstown at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
