Christian Brothers and Vista del Lago are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Christian Brothers Falcons take on Vista del Lago Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Brothers will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Friday, Christian Brothers had just enough and edged out Inderkum 3-2.

Christian Brothers got a great performance from Jordan Medina as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. What's more, Medina posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Johnathan Otto was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Pelka, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Vista del Lago owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Rio Americano. The matchup marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Carson Kocina tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Vista del Lago's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Bolyard, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Trevor Kaestner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Christian Brothers' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Vista del Lago, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Christian Brothers was able to grind out a solid win over Vista del Lago when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Will Christian Brothers repeat their success, or does Vista del Lago have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
